Origin

From waste to something

The origin of the Tunyes is quite fascinating. As previously stated in the Tunya Planet Profile page, the Tunye is a civilization created from the wastes of other planets, primarily from planet New Earth, that contained radioactive materials, biogenic substances, and other scrap.

It started in the year 2,260 (New Earth year). After the apocalyptic nuclear war between the Western Hemisphere and the Eastern Hemisphere, tons and tons of debris, organic material, and radioactive matter were expelled into space from the appalling force of the blasts. Those blasts created gravitational waves that could be felt by other planets throughout the galaxy. With that said, the wastes expelled from the nuclear war spent quite some time in space, travelling in somewhat of a straight line. Its mass was great enough to attract other spatial materials and wastes wandering aimlessly in space. It took over 5,000 New Earth years for the huge mass of waste to travel 25,000 light years and settle on what is now known as the Tunya planet.

Tunya was a tiny, desolate planet, with nothing more than bare rock covering its surface, though its conditions were optimal for living organisms to settle in and thrive. All that Tunya needed was a kick-start, which came “soon” enough. Once the massive amounts of waste entered the atmosphere and crash-landed, the process began instantaneously.

It started with small, mutated unicellular organisms. These organisms do not feed on food. Instead, to survive, all they needed to do was absorb the solar energy from the Sumesh star. As time progressed, these cells evolved to bigger multicellular organisms until the Tunyes were created, along with other solar-energy-absorbing species of mutated plants and animals.
